Privacy Policy

Last updated: April 23, 2026

This policy explains what data Provillo collects, how we use it, and your rights. We keep it short and direct.

1. Who We Are

Provillo is operated from Sweden. For privacy questions, contact hello@provillo.com.

2. Data We Collect

Account data: Email, name, company name, profile details you provide (managed by Clerk).

Billing data: Handled by Stripe. We only store your Stripe customer ID and subscription status — not your card details.

Usage data: Emails you generate, businesses you search, call transcripts you upload. Stored so you can access your history.

Technical data: IP address, browser type, timestamps — standard web logs used for security and debugging.

3. How We Use Your Data

  • To provide and operate the Service
  • To process payments (via Stripe)
  • To send service-related emails (account verification, receipts, important updates)
  • To improve the Service and debug issues
  • To comply with legal obligations

We don't sell your data. We don't use your data to train AI models.

4. Third-Party Services

We share data with these providers strictly to provide the Service:

  • Clerk — authentication and user accounts
  • Stripe — payments and billing
  • Anthropic (Claude) — AI email generation
  • OpenAI (Whisper) — call transcription
  • Google Places API — business lead search
  • Vercel — hosting infrastructure

Each provider has its own privacy policy. They process data on our behalf and aren't allowed to use it for their own purposes.

5. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure (primarily in the EU and US, depending on the provider). We use industry-standard security measures: encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls, and secure third-party providers. No system is 100% secure, but we take it seriously.

6. Data Retention

We keep your data as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we permanently remove your personal data from our systems within 30 days. Billing records may be retained longer if required by law (typically 7 years for accounting purposes).

7. Your Rights (GDPR)

If you're in the EU, UK, or another region with data protection laws, you have the right to:

  • Access — see what data we have about you
  • Correct — fix inaccurate data (most of it you can edit in Settings)
  • Delete — remove your account and data (Settings → Delete Account, or email us)
  • Export — get a copy of your data (email us)
  • Object — tell us to stop processing your data
  • Complain — contact your local data protection authority

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@provillo.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. Cookies

We use essential cookies to keep you logged in and remember your preferences. We don't use advertising or tracking cookies. Clerk (our auth provider) sets some cookies for session management.

9. Email Outreach You Send

When you use Provillo to send emails to other businesses, you're responsible for complying with anti-spam laws (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.). Provillo is a tool — you decide the content, recipients, and legal basis for contact.

10. Children

Provillo is not intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from children.

11. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes, we'll notify you by email or in-app notice. Continued use of Provillo after changes means you accept the updated policy.

12. Contact Us
